TNR is a humane approach to addressing the feral cat population in Metro Detroit, and TNR programs have proven to be effective. TNR helps to prevent the death of feral-born kittens, addresses community complaints and concerns about cats, and helps temper the breeding cycle.
The Ferndale Cat Shelter works with an amazing TNR partner, All About Animals Rescue in Warren, Michigan. We recommend them as a one-stop-shop for TNR. As a non-profit, they provide classes on TNR, rent traps to the public, and most importantly provide affordable medical care for community cats.
