Audrey’s litter is two weeks old and already on the move! The terrible twos start early with kittens, but mama is up to the challenge. Audrey followed her foster mom out to the kitchen for a minute and by the time she came back one of her babies had squirmed their way into the middle of the room. Audrey picked them right up to cart back to their siblings – it’s too soon to leave the cozy cove!
Audrey’s kittens, born May 4, are named after Star Wars characters (May the Fourth be with you): Princess Leia, Lando, and Vader. We’ll leave you to guess which one is already testing their mama.
The babies are in their second week now, and you can see their eyes are opening up and their little limbs are growing stronger. Soon they’ll be frolicking around, testing mama Audrey’s patience, and having little adventures. We are going to follow Audrey’s little family as they grow up and get adopted. Each week we will send an email with updates, stories, and ~kitten photos~.

Each spring, we see a dramatic increase in kittens as unspayed cats have more ‘dates’ when the weather warms up. We want to help local homeless cats as long as possible, and so we are setting a goal to reach $5,000 a month in sustaining donations by the end of Kitten Season this fall.
This is a lofty goal, but we have such a powerful community around us. If you and our other subscribers donate just $5 a month we would fly past that goal (and be able to help hundreds more kittens). With over 200 kittens in our care right now, we are asking for your support.
