On February 13, 2015 at 5:30am, foster Sarah Clark woke to the sound of a strange noise near her pillow. As she turned to the space between her and husband Matt…
Friday, February 13 at 5:30 am Angel started having babies. The first one was born in the space between my husband’s and my pillows. She was done after number eight, the sole calico in the bunch, who is doing her level best to drink enough milk to keep up with her assorted orange and tawny varietal siblings. They are active already and they can’t even see, and oh, the tiny mews obliterate winter blues, like magic.
It is still too soon to be precise in color descriptions, but we have two tawny/maybe tabby, three orange and white, a lot like mama, two different shades of orange tabby, and one calico and white. They are going to be beautiful kitties. Angel is at least part Maine Coon. She is a sweetie pie and she loves to chat, and she is an outstanding mother, that one should be so patient with eight babies. She is pretty too, and so soft. These babies are velvety already, they are going to be cashmere kittens.
Day five and they are trying to open their eyes, it won’t be long, a couple of them already have little slits and as long as they keep squirming and stepping on each others heads, we will have those short lived , blue-eyed wonderpuffs in no time and then if mama has anything to do with it, golden eyes to follow. Angel and her babies look forward to bringing you some of the images that the internet was created for in the next couple months, and they can’t wait to meet you. – Sarah Clark, Cat Mid-wife, Yogi, Baker
